As the nights get colder, we are continuing to struggle with the lack of heat. November 13th can’t get here soon enough. I worry so much about the senior dogs especially.

Everyone has double blankets in their crates and I have the oddest assortment of different colors and prints of comforters and these we use to wrap around their crates to keep heat in. We look kinda like a dormitory for the homeless but that's okay. We are a dormitory for the homeless :)

And Jill is gone…..into hands better equipped to understand and help her find a home than mine. It was tough and yet easy, the decision to let Suzanne Fox with Wild Heir Lab Rescue take over Jill’s placement. Jill did not “fit” here although she tried. Her idea of play just doesn’t fit a poodle’s idea of play.

This is the note I got back after the transport:

“Jill is a sweetheart! She slept upstairs in my bedroom last night and is getting along with the others very well. She snuggled down right next to Sunny (two year old black female) with their butts touching. She seems to be very easy and clingy. I'm thinking she's Lab/Vizla mix -very bird doggy.

I don't anticipate having any problem getting either of these guys into wonderful homes by Christmas, Jill especially.

Thanks,

Suzanne “

We’ve been looking for a home for Jill for 18 months! Suzanne thinks she’ll place her in less than 8 weeks! Confirms for me that being breed specific, understanding one breed and working well with that breed and being known for that breed, is the way to go.

Here’s wishing Jill a better bright and shining future than I could give her, thanks to a wonderful gal named Suzanne.

More soon

Donna
