Saturday Nov 4 2006 - the first puppy goes home.

Our first puppy went home today. Tristan is now Hudson Tristan Clegg. This is Mark and Carla’s first baby and they promise to take very good care of him. The Clegg’s have only been married a few months. They live in Black Mountain NC. Mark is a counselor and Carla is a nursing student. They were drawn right to little Tristan from the start.

Carla and Mark will be joining our volunteer group for a few months and learning how to be excellent dog parents from all of us. Let’s give her a great support.

It continues to be very cold here. We’re counting the days down until our heating system is installed, sometime around Nov 13th. With the space heaters that everyone donated, it’s bearable but just. It was only about 51 degrees in the building this morning when I woke the dogs up. We’d prefer it around 60. Pray for milder weather for a few more days! It’s supposed to do so.

Tomorrow, little Missy is going to be adopted. Missy’s older owner could no longer care for her and family members have been caring for Missy while we sought a home. Jean Bullock will be coming up from Columbia to meet Missy and hopefully take her home.

We have several more puppy seekers who will be up next week and next weekend. More on these as the matches are made.

And glory be - Wayne and I got most of the flooring in the living room of our house laid out tonight! We are pushing hard to have the interior of the house completely done by Christmas. Won't that be grand!

Good night - from Dreamweaver Farms
Donna
