Short and sweet tonight. Yeah! We have heat! These may not be the prettiest pictures I will ever post to you guys but to me and the poo’s up here, that steel box and pink tiling is the sweetest things we’ve ever seen. They mean "warm."
Yesterday, the guys from Amerigas came out to install our new forced air propane heater. The space heaters are still some good as this unit only heats the main kennel side. Gina wants to live in the grooming room so she has a space heater of her own and the puppy side is still a bit cool so they have two. Once we get the rest of the ceiling tiles up, even that won’t be necessary.
This am, I went into the kennel and it was cozy and 63 degrees despite a cold night out. Tonight, I had to strip out of my jacket in order to clean. Speaking of cleaning – now the floors dry! Before, it was so cold that the floors would stay wet for hours. Cleaning has been a real challenge. I am so grateful to have this system. Thanks to all of you who made it possible.
On another note…we got our microchip scanner today, too! Now we can scan for our own microchips when strays come in. When we microchip ourselves, we can check to make sure the chip is inserted correctly. Special thanks to our Schering Plough rep, Mark Lee, who made this generous donation!
That’s all the news tonight folks. It was a quiet day in poodle land.
Good night, from Dreamweaver Farms.

I am a little behind since this was written almost two weeks ago but soooo glad that you have HEAT. Can't wait to get up and see the pink tiles. I still think that was a great idea!
